Help! Can't get rid of accidental tab tiling!!!
-
My dog jumped up on the bed while I was typing and somehow I ended up with a split screen. I now know that I must have accidentally turned on tab tiling - which I now can't get rid of! I've read lots of stuff about how to get rid of it, including a YouTube video, but what the instructions said would happen when I hit Control or right clicked didn't happen. Also, I still can't find the Status Bar that is allegedly at the bottom of the browser page that would give me to option to get rid of it. It's driving me crazy! Can anyone help?

- Settings, Appearance to enable the status bar.
- Select the tiled tabs with Ctrl+Click
- Use the tile icon to untile the tabs or just use the default shortcut (Ctrl+F6)
Hold down the shift key and drag the Tile ion from the Status Bar up to the Address Bar, then you can turn off the Status Bar if you don't use it, or enable the Status Info Overlay instead.

Tab tiling usually goes away when you close one of the tabs anyway...
Maybe you had accidently activated the side panels instead? (F4 to toggle it or the leftmost button in the status bar) -
When I right-click on a tiled tab in the tab bar, I see "Untile tabs" in the menu, and it works here. But that's 4.1 (Snapshot) and perhaps not in Stable.
