Spell verification at GMX in html text box
-
Hello together,
how can I activate the spell verification at the email provider GMX. If I login there, the text box is a HTML text box where you can write in bold and so on. There Vivaldi does not active the spell correction. If I change from HTLM to "text mail" the spell correction is working.
Any idea how I can solve this?
Thanks

@vivaldisouthgate I don't have a GMX account but the spell checker should work in any text input field.
Just right-click a blank spot in the field to activate the spell check:
I
Note: do not activate enhanced spell check, it sends your data to Google, and the basic is more than good enough for most.

@pathduck okay thanks, but does not work, see here:
The "Betreff" part is okay
In the text box, the right mouse is not working, with right mouse I just have this "Einfügen":
For me looks like the box with HTML is not recognized!If I switch from HTML to text, it works

@vivaldisouthgate It depends on the site. Sometimes they override the right-click function, which sucks but that's how it is.
Site developers can even deactivate spell check in HTML code:
spellcheck="false"
, like for instance in the mailTo:
field, which makes sense there.For Vivaldi webmail it works even with HTML editor:
Also on Protonmail:

@pathduck
okay, the Opera can do it, I don't know why.... Thank you anyway! -
I have again a text box where the spell verification is not working. If you click in the box with the right mouse button you just get the option "Einfügen"
Is something to solve for the next version.

@vivaldisouthgate Which site is this?
I'm starting to suspect you've got an extension that does this...
