I can only reproduce it at this chess channel but anyway, you should report it to the bug tracker with a hint to this channel.

Problem gets resolved when flipping phone to the other side.

It does not work correctly, I guess I don´t realize it at some channels and I use often the Youtube app.
I would report it to the bug tracker with the information you have now.

Because latest stable had only 1 fix, unrelated to this problem.

And I doubt, that VAB-4431 fix anyway solves your problem, like you told after that came out first time it didn't fix your problem (worked for days, but returned), you might need open totally new ticket for your problem.
In my case problem was fixed on first time, until could reproduce it again on 5.1, like another user mib2berlin had (who has even same phone model than I have)

Same issue on brand new and up to date Android 13 Samsung phone with latest official Vivaldi browser from Google app store. Doesn't matter in which direction I turn the phone. Also visible in vertical position. YouTube video is smaller than available screen size and slightly shifted to the left, while sticking to the top (in horizontal position of the phone). At the same time it works fine on my older Android 8 Samsung phone. Quite strange.

do u get cropped pic? or just smaller but whole pic?
my issue is more or less solved. not getting cropped pic anymore. only rarely.

I don't think it is cropped for me. Just smaller size and not centered. Changing font size in system settings did help, but they should figure out a way to fix it.

Hello everyone, I have the same Problem where YouTube Videos result cropped and shifted in full screen. Does anyone know if there is a solution for this? I'm running Vivaldi Browser 6.0.2980.48 on Android 13; Pixel 7 Build/TD1A.220804.031.

Hi, did you change the default font size as other user with the same problem?
There are reports about system font size influence other pages, too.Cheers, mib

@mib2berlin Thanks for your reply. I did change the default System Font and system Display size (Display as small as possible to counteract the modern tendency of making interface elements bigger and bigger without adding functionality and font size increased to restore the font to a normal size after changing the display). I do this on every device that has an unreasonable default dpi, but I never noticed any issues (apart from my grandmas phone where I made everything so huge and contrasty that stuff Simply didn't fit in the screen any more). I'll try temporarily resetting the screen to Default and report back. In any case I didn't mess with Vivaldi's fonts.
I'm attaching a couple of examples. In non full screen a side of the video is cropped but not enough to be noticeable, in full screen half of the video is missing.

@Voko6503 did you change your system fonts as well? I have just restored mine to Default temporarily and the problem doesn't occur. I hope this will Help solve The problem. In the Short term my workaround would be to use a different browser (or to leave the screen sizes to Default if it doesn't bother you too much).

is nice to test this.
Any other setting than default in the Android system font settings does not work on Youtube, it breaks other pages, too.
There is a confirmed bug report about:
VAB-7144 Scaling broken, too large
I updated it a few days ago but will add the YT link and a comment to the report.Many users change the text size, this must work.
The resolution is different, not every user can do that.A user reported an error, but the resolution was so high that Vivaldi switched to tablet mode, these bug reports were rejected.
