Metamask Popup is a mess in new verion

Since upgrading an already poor experience with Metamask extension has gotten worse. Not only does it hang off my desktop, so I can't see it and have to constantly pull it back over, but now if panel is open on desktop, it loads Panel in Metamask window.
Really looks like this upgrade wasn't tested, because I've experienced numerous crashes since upgrading and increased amount of screen flickering. Disappointing, but I am working in my browser the entire day, including in Metamask and while there are features I will miss, Vivaldi will have to for now, because devs don't seem to be responding the crashing issues.

same thing for me, it's really an horrible experience
metamask is not the only plugin crashing too....
i had an other wallet, which was now opening in a new windows insteand of an extension popup... hilarious the first time, not the second
