Why is mail folder tree so large and awkard?
-
Why is the mail directory tree filled with so many sub folders, and the Inbox is way down the list. It should be first. It is very unintuitive to use.

@infin the mail client is optimized to work with multiple accounts (I have 5) with a unified inbox, hence the centerpiece is unification in all messages, and the individual account information is "also there" but not as important in the concept. Furthermore the concept is to provide an efficient workflow that does not require folders.
I assume that later they will add the ability to customize the items shown in the panel list to make it easier for folks that prefer other concepts feel more at home, but since the mail client is in beta the core functionality comes first.
Long story short, your choices right now seem to be a) wait until the client is further in its development and provides features to support your workflow or b) try to see if you can grow accustomed to Vivaldi's concept by adapting your workflow.

@infin I would be happy to work with the Received messages folder, but currently I cannot delete messages from there, so I have to expand the individual account folders. Hopefully, the mail client will fix these kind of issues soon, and lets us hide folders that we never use.
