My Win10 system is in Chinese and the Vivaldi interface language is English. When I visit Chinese web pages, the vivaldi translation icon is displayed. But when I visit English web pages, it doesn't show the translation icon

Compared with the desktop version, the android version does a better job with the translation settings. Both Chinese and English pages show the translation horizontal bar normally.

Why doesn't desktop support the same translation settings as mobile? For example Don't offer to translate these languages.

When i change 'User Interface Language' in Vivaldi settings to my native language, then translation icon will appear on English pages. Hope this helps.

@gwen-dragon This is a stupid limitation. Why can't I use English in the interface language and be able to translate English pages?

I am learning English, so I have set the interface language to English. However, my English level does not support me to browse some difficult English pages, so I would like to be able to translate English pages to my native language

Android doesn't have this limitation, so why is it possible to do it on Android but not on desktop? The desktop side should be more powerful and free than the Android side.

In my perception, vivaldi is not this kind of boring company that puts barriers in the way of users. I wish vivaldi would consider letting go of the translation restrictions, like on Android, where the language of my interface and the language of the web page I want to translate can be the same
