Solved How to display Web Panels on the side.
-
I'd really like to display my web panels on the left hand side of my screen, as I used to do in Opera (from which I just switched). How will I do this? I don't mean using a Panel toggle - I mean having the icons in the panel displaying all the time, like the image.

@neilc
Hi, with panel open click on any button/icon, it will close the panel but leave the icon panel open.Cheers, mib

@neilc , just as you show it in the screenshot, or by clicking on the + below the icons.
You can order them as you like, with Shift + Drag.

@catweazle Sorry, I just realized I didn't explain it properly. That's not an image of mine, it's an image from Vivaldi's video on Panels! I don't have any panel view, and if I try to switch it on, the panels come out only when I press the toggle, which I don't want.
Basically, I want direct access to the panels without a toggle. I currently have nothing! Here's my sidebar:
That's the Vivaldi forum background. -
@neilc , ah, OK, go to the settings(Ctrl+F12)>Panel, there you can make it visible permanent, hide automatic, show or not the button for emerge and others.
If the panel es hidden with the button, you'll see a small bar with a liitle icon at the left. Clicking on it show the panel. -
@Catweazle Thanks, but that's what I want - I want to remove that little button from the side. Here's a screenshot of the Opera Browser -
Those icons are always there - I don't need to push a button to view them. If I click on an icon, it will open up the same way Web Panels in Vivaldi work. Is this possible in Vivaldi? Icons being there permanently? -
