Synchronized and lost months of bookmarks

Hello,
I got a notification that my synchronization was turned off, so I reactivated the feature and now my bookmarks look like they were looking several months ago, it seems that my local bookmarks have been erased completely in favor if an older snapshot of my accounts' bookmarks.
Have I lost all the new bookmarks I have created for all these months or is there a way to make my bookmarks look like they did just a few hours ago?

Have you checked here:
C: [your username] \ Users \ AppData \ Local \ Vivaldi \ User Data \ Default \ Bookmarks.Quick way to get to appdata:
Press the Start button and then type % appdata%.
Press the Enter key
In the File Explorer window, click on the up arrow (it will take you to Appdata) from there you will have access to the 3 appdata folders. In this case you want the local one.Check also if you are using a profile 2 (guest) or a new one, sometimes it happens too.

@nadinenb Hello - Vivaldi did some updates to their servers yesterday and apparently they had some issues specifically with the Sync system.
It sucks to lose bookmarks like that, please report the issue as a bug here:
https://vivaldi.com/bugreport/
Under "Affected product" select "Vivaldi.net website and services".

I found that bookmarks were duplicated when they had been edited recently. Those at the bottom were the latest versions. It usually catches me out because it only happens occasionally.
In the most recent case, they had problems with the server update for several hours yesterday, which was presumably the cause for my issues.
