It's possible to get rid of the "Casting" feature?

I can't stand this, I don't want this feature and want to disable it completely. I don't want ever to have to see that icon on my screen.

Well, you can of course, also fork the open source Chromium Code and remove the functionality altogether. Until then, why don't you just remove the media controls and "cast ..." features from the menus and toolbars where you want to get rid of them. I found these other two.
