On new build sync says success but nothing changed
-
Just built a new desktop with Arch. I was able in the settings to log in to Vivaldi.net and to decrypt my sync, and it says it is a success next to both download and upload, but all my Speed Dial panels are still the default and nothing else seems to have synced.
I found many other forum posts, and I tried the two suggestions I saw but neither worked - logging out and back in, and trying different capitalization in my user name when I log in.
Not sure what to try from here. I do have the SSD from my old machine attached to the new one and I haven't erased it yet, so maybe I can copy over some files to get the same effect as sync?
Since the synced information is somewhere in "the cloud", is it possible to manually download it or even just look at it?

Nevermind, solved.. Right after I posted this I looked at my username at the top of the post and thought wait, I never tried capitalizing it exactly like that, so I did, and suddenly everything synced!
Though, shouldn't it not say "success" if it wasn't actually successful?

@BrianStamper
Hi, this is a bug and it is known.
I hope for a fix in one of the next updates, we get reports more often.
You can login with a wrong user name but sync does not work correctly, annoying.Cheers, mib
