vivaldi bookmarks vs pocket/wallabag
-
our bookmark system is superior to any other browser i've found.
my question is can it effectively replace something like pocket or wallabag which are read-it-later apps?
i find pocket clumsy, though i really like their help-desk people.
wallabag is of interest because i can put it on my own server at some point (from what i understand).however, i can bookmark easily with vivaldi.
more than that, i can tag and even write notes (can't do that with pocket!) - though i haven't figured out how to see the note unless i edit the bookmark.
additionally, i can sync my bookmarks with other devices using vivaldi!so while it's not as simple as pushing the pocket extension icon - and it doesn't actually save a permanent copy - it's still a pretty effective system, imho.
i would appreciate hearing from people who contemplate bookmarks and read-it-later mechanisms and the merits thereof.

much appreciated, akhiluk!
the insight you present regarding bookmarks vs pocket was most helpful!
wallabag does seem to be the solution - once i setup our home server!
