Solved Using Bing in Europe - does it help Vivaldi?
-
Hello,
Couple of weeks ago I started using Bing (and Yahoo on mobile) because I read that Vivaldi receives some income for the searches.
However, I also read that when Firefox had no contract with Google, it received income for Bing searches only in the US and not in Europe.
Does Vivaldi benefit from my searches in Europe or am I just torturing myself for no reason?

@PatrikTuri Hello, being concerned about Vivaldi's income is laudable
But I'm not sure Vivaldi receives income per search, I just think they get paid for including Bing as the default search engine and maybe the number of installations.The user is free to select another search engine and should not feel bad about doing so. There are several others to choose from: DDG, Ecosia or even Google if the user is more concerned with good search results than privacy

I would never use Bong or YakPoo. Startpage, DuckDuckGo, Whoogle are good for privacy.

Try writing like a normal person, maybe someone could understand what you mean.

@iAN-CooG Whoogle really exists btw

@Pathduck Thank you, this answers my question.

@iAN-CooG Startpage / Ixquick are now owned by some Ad agency / marketing company (System1). You may want to reconsider that one now. I used to use it too.

@greybeard Duly noted, but I don't mind using google. Probably I am not the correct target of your reply?

Nothing wrong with my comment and you know it. Might want to get a sense of humor. Now that said I'm installed and switched all browsers to Whoogle.
