Green Vivaldi Icon
-
Where is the green Vivaldi icon? I can’t find a file of it online or on the forums. I know it exists, maybe for the testers? Could a tester share it?
I am making multiple Vivaldi .desktop files with different command line switches and would like to color code them.
-
@code3
the green icon is from an internal version for testers only.but you should color the vivaldi icon with (more or less) every paint program (use the hue slider)
-
@derDay Ok, I will try that. I thought a blank icon was needed to adjust hue but maybe not.
-
I was able to make one using Libreoffice Draw. It took a little longer than I wanted, but I was able to copy the colors from a photo on the Vivaldi Blog when the new icon was released. Here is my green icon:

Here is the blue icon:
https://forum.vivaldi.net/favicon.ico
My green icon is a little fuzzy on the edges when fully enlarged but should be fine at the size of a normal app icon. -
hello code3 and everyone
cheating. with vivaldi capture page feature. -
Does anyone have the black icon? It’s in my system somewhere but I can’t find it. Also, the space storage link does not work on my iPhone, but should be fine on desktop.
-
@code3 Do you mean the Snapshot icon?
It should be located in your Vivaldi profile as
Vivaldi Profile.ico
.
On Windows you can always use a tool to dig the icon out of the executable. -
@Pathduck I am on Linux. Icons and commands are in .desktop files, but my .desktop icon is not what I want. I can try and look in the Vivaldi profile, but if anyone can post here that would be great.
-
@Gwen-Dragon Okay. You mean Windows installer? I will try that.
-
@code3 .desktop files are just plain text files, the link to the icon will be in there.
-
FYI, editing the colours in the SVG version is easier & gives better results.
The Snapshot uses
#383838
. -
@potmeklecbohdan That’s what I tried to do, and I’m fairly happy with the result. Now I am trying to find the black icon, I will follow Gwen-dragon’s advice later.

The icon in my desktop file is not the one I want, it has been replaced by an icon library. I will follow the directions from @Gwen-Dragon

@code3 Look into /opt/vivaldi-snapshot/ subfolders, not in profile
Exactly what I wanted, thank you!
