not working global media controls
-
Vivaldi does not have the ability to play media only in the current tab (pause all other tabs) when opening a tab with multiple videos.
(Even if you keep YouTube open, everything is played, so the lag is very bad. Muting the sound doesn't help.)
I've also activated the media controller on Chromium, but it doesn't work (chrome://flags/#global-media-controls = vivaldi://flags/#global-media-controls) -
Hi @clejunsu, go to
Settings, >Tabs >Tab-functions >Audio-Output (I hope I found the engl. items for it):You can set sound
only in active tab

Almost
Settings >Tabs >TAB-FEATURES - Mute Tab Audio - Play Only in Active Tab -
I also ran into a similar control issue - I have Global Media Controls turned off like @clejunsu mentioned, but it seems weird that after the latest update this setting would override the Global Media Controls flag - this tip helps - but makes me wonder why there's a feature that overrides this setting - I don't want media keys controlling my browser at all - I always have 1million tabs open, and especially with this new "feature" it could start audio playing in any of them (or all of them?) seems pretty short sighted by Vivaldi
