bug: composer colors
-
Using v.3.6.2165.32 on Win 10
Settings > Mail > Mail Settings > Composer
Whether settings are Blk/Wh or Inherent Theme Colors
Document area remains dark making email impossible to read. Thank you. -
@Gwen-Dragon said in composer colors, maybe a bug:
Why do you use older Vivaldi? Current is 3.6.2165.34 Stable
…in case of Stable, & that’s why

Closer description — the text (of a received e-mail) has set a dark foreground colour, but no background colour. The Vivaldi theme is dark & the reader inherits its colours unless they’re overridden, so the text is nearly illegible.
The solution is to allow the e-mail reader (not only composer) to be black-on-white independently on the theme, optionally only for formatted e-mails or only those that set the text colour. Or maybe to ignore e-mail colours…

@Gwen-Dragon Try just setting the foreground colour in the M3 composer.
-
@Gwen-Dragon That's the way I want it to look!
-
@Gwen-Dragon Thank you. Just further information I can offer is that this has not been like this consistently; neither relative to version nor emails; i.e some emails look normal.

@Gwen-Dragon Is not a dupe of VB-64824 ? (I reported a very similar issue time ago)
