Hyperlink in Outlook 2019
-
When I click on a hyperlink in email using Outlook 2019 and Vivaldi is already open the link does not work. It has only started happening over the past week. If I close Vivaldi then click on the link it opens.

@Boggy That's bizarre. What you're saying is that with 3.5 it was working and with 3.6 it isn't? Or do you literally mean "Over the past week," the whole week, which would include several days before 3.6 was released?
Unfortunately, I'm holding off on 3.6 so can't test.
It should have little-to-nothing to do with the browser though. What you can try is in Win10's Settings, de-setting Outlook as the default Email app and then re-setting it.
Also on that page, in "Set defaults by app," you can choose Outlook and get a nice summary of "File type and protocol associations." Do you have any missing? Not all matter, but one or two might (not sure which).

@rseiler Checked it on Firefox, Brave, Waterfox and Chrome no problem, The problem only occurs when Vivaldi is already open, when it's not open and set to default it works fine.
-
@Boggy OK, meaning that you changed your default browser to each one of those just now and tested.
But what do you say about 3.5 vs 3.6? Is this new to 3.6?
-
@Boggy
It could be caused by Outlook itself or the interaction of Outlook with Vivaldi does not work.
I tried it with Thunderbird in Windows 10 and Vivaldi 3.6.
The link is opened in Vivaldi, whether the browser was closed or open.
Changing standard brother immediately changed it when open a link in Thunderbird too.I can't check it with Outlook bc I haven't.

@Boggy
I installed Outlook to test it here as well, and there is no problem with open links in Vivaldi!!! -
@Dancer18 And I've never had that problem with Outlook either, but I don't have 3.6 yet.
I'm also not using Outlook 2019 but rather its very close cousin Outlook 365, but it's beyond unlikely that matters.
This sort of thing tends to be a Registry problem, not a program problem, but I've never heard of the version where it only works when the browser is closed.
