zombie instant checkmate
-
Hi,
I would like to know why Instantcheckmate.com appears on my desktop every time I wake up Vivaldi and never under any other circumstance.
Of course, I can get rid of it by diligently entering all my ID information into their Cancel Instant Checkmate webpage. That strikes me as stopping a tiger attack by sticking my head in its mouth.
Vivaldi, I love you otherwise. But you brought this monster into my life and I expect you to tell me how to shut it down with prejudice. Otherwise, I'm afraid you and I are done.

@namerankserialno Maybe you visited some website and had a background SeviceWorker installed.

Hit Unregister for all shown entries
Restart Vivaldi -
@TbGbe "Open internal Vivaldi page: vivaldi://serviceworker-internals
Where, pray, is/are internal vivaldi pages. Your pseudo URL leads nowhere but error pages.
Ok; I've wasted HOURS on this opaque garbage. I'm done with Vivaldi now and forever. Please do not sent me any more cryptic, misleading "advice". Thank you very much for worse than nothing. Goodbye.

@namerankserialno or maybe the notifications are on for checkmate (urlbar > padlock icon > site settings > notifications)

@Hadden89 He's gone, no need to reply anymore, seems he was beyond salvation as he even refused help. Move along
