Facebook won't close enlarged pics.

I've noticed that when you enlarge a picture you can't use the X in the top left-hand corner to close that picture. You have to use the "go back" button. Anybody have a fix?

@Dagnorkle Hello Dagnorkle, I had the same problem and I recently noticed I had to click a bit under the close X to make it work (see the Press Esc to close appearing).

This happens because the "Picture-in-Picture" button is placed over the X button. It's a known bug. You can either click on the lower half of the X (as @Ornorm mentioned) or disable the PiP button in settings if you don't use it (will disable it for all websites).

Thanks for the info. As I use FB often it was a deal breaker for me. Where would I find the PIP setting?

Just note that, if you disable it, it will be disabled on all pages (as mentioned by @Komposten )
