Not focused on address bar in new window

After updated to vivaldi 3.5 from 3.4.
When starting vivaldi or open new window - it is not focused on address bar by default.
In new tabs - focused.Vivaldi 3.5.2115.81 (Stable channel) (64-bit)

OS Windows 10 OS Version 2009 (Build 19042.685) -
Yes, when open from shortcut, or when press CTRL+N.
-
Yes, sorry, with CTRL+N focused.
Need to fix focus, when open from shortcut.
This is very annoying bug. ;-| -
As I've whined in several similar threads lately... When you say "focused", do you mean the cursor is in the address bar, or the content of the address bar is selected ready to type a new search? Seems important to be specific about this!

With a custom New Tab and Homepage, I get cursor in the address bar, at the end of unselected text, for all of those options, external shortcut, Ctrl+T, Ctrl+N... And there is an obtrusive delay between Ctrl+T and the point where Ctrl+A actually selects the address content.
Very annoying! But mine has been this way for months, not just 3.4->3.5. Maybe a separate problem?

When i run browser, i am expecting cursor will be at address bar and i can start type url without additional movements. But cursor placed on content area.

I'm having the same bug. It focuses for a half second then no focus anymore
-
how to you think, did support stuff saw this thread?
-
Do we have a chance that this will be fixed?
-
When will this be fixed?
I've just updated, and this bug is "time to uninstall Vivaldi" bad. This version should never have made it though test.
-
I do have this bug too and find a workaround:
-
Do new command chain like this
-
Delete CTRL+T shortcut from "new tab" command
-
Apply CTRL+T to this chain

I do have this bug too
Me not, i checked 5.0.2497.24. New Window (Ctrl+N) opens and address field is focused.
Must be something in our new tab page or startpage settings. -
@doctorg Question here not about that 99% of users as you don't have this bug. Question here that somebody have it and my post will help all the guys and girls like me.
-
@tyrionlannister Any changed New Tab Page or Start Page settings? I remember such issue in older snapshots.
-
@doctorg Yep, my new tab page is under control of speeddial2 extension. I know that this bug exist when something not default with start page or new tab.

It works for me, in new Vivaldi 5 installed after re-installing latest Windows 10. Thank You! This problem has flipped on and off in Vivaldi updates for years! Maybe worth just leaving the chain enabled.
But it doesn't fix tabs from the '+' icon in the tab bar... Any idea how to mod that?

This is an another question. On forums usually used a rule - "one thread = one question".
I don't see an answer on your question in the settings. You can uncheck showing of close icon but can't hide plus sign. Needs to write feature request to the support of Vivaldi.
-
@tyrionlannister Wouldn't be a new feature, mine usually shows all new tab addresses selected, from Ctrl+t or from '+'. Except when they break it... Some random update in a month or two will fix both. For awhile...
