How can I import data from Opera GX?
-
Hi, I've been using Opera GX for quite a while, but now I want to change. I wanted to know if there is a way to import all data (Bookmarks, passwords, cookies, etc...) to vivaldi, can anyone help me? Thanks.

Hi, you can use File > Import > Opera 15 to import bookmarks and history, cookies are not supported.
Passwords need a bit more work.
Export Opera passwords from Opera settings > Autofill > Passwords.
There is a 3 dot menu you can export your passwords to a .cvs text file (clear text).
Open chrome://flags/#PasswordImport in Vivaldi and enable import of passwords.
Open chrome://settings and search for passwords, use same 3 dot menu for import your .cvs file created from Opera export.Cheers, mib

@mib2berlin Are you sure that will work with Opera GX (not standard Opera)? Im going to try
-
@mib2berlin I do not have the option for Opera 15+

@RogerPanza
Strange, there is a pull down menu, 1. entry is Opera 12.
You can try to copy the bookmark file over from Opera to Vivaldi (Untested).
The bookmarks file is in your profile path > Help Menu > About for Opera and Vivaldi.Cheers, mib
EDIT: Do you you use the default for your Opera install? Not drive D:\ or something. -
@mib2berlin Opera GX is installed on the default C:\Users\Roger\AppdData\Local\Programs\Opera GX\

Ok, you can export your Opera bookmarks as .html file and import it in Vivaldi.
Really a bit awkward but should work-Cheers, mib
