Adding "- Vivaldi" to tab titles
I am running some window management software (via AutoHotkey) and I cannot "match" the Vivaldi browser window because I have no text pattern to mach on since the term "Vivaldi" is not part of the UI, just the HTML page title. So I need to include something like "- Vivaldi" to all tab titles (since I guess I cannot just make it work like Firefox does where this is a hidden part of the tab title (but available hovering over the task bar) - is this possible?
Why not match by class instead?
(That’s how I adapted my script from Firefox, just replaced all instances of ahk_class MozillaWindowClass with chrome widget.)
Because I am new with AutoHotkey and don't know how to modify the script
Haha, that script is huge! I can see why you’re intimidated. :)
I’m not an AHK expert by any means, but I suggest you check out this page:
And compare it to the command Ashley uses in her script:
That should get you started.
What’s this for, anyway? If you explain what you’re trying to do, I might be able to come up with a simpler method.
It's a script to save and restore window positions on different monitor setups
Even with Class, I just inserted the wrong string (Chrome Legacy Window) instead of the right one (ahk_class Chrome_WidgetWin_1) in the save file. It works. Thanks a lot!
(However, I think it would be nice to have the title included in the task bar entry anyway)
Glad you were able to get it working! :)
