Google Meet - "Change Background" feature doesn't appear
-
Hi!
In these days I saw that Google Meet implemented "Change Background" feature but in my calls the option doesn't appear.
So to solve the problem I searched it into Google Meet's support site and I found this article: I tried all the things that it tells but the only one that is wrong in my browser is the "Major Performance Caveat" that is settled on "Yes", instead of "No". I checked it using this site.
So I tried to search how to disable this setting and in another page of the Google Meet's support I found this. But when I enable the "Override software rendering list" setting in "Vivaldi://flags" or in "Chrome://flags" the browser becomes buggy and I see some rendering problems like flashing and the "Change Background" feature doesn't show up. So I tried to go another time on this site after the enabling of the "Override software rendering list" and it gives me an error saying that my browser doesn't support WebGL 2.
I tried everything but I hope there is a solution.
Thanks.

What macOS version and which Vivaldi version are you on also what model?
I am on Vivaldi 3.4.2066.106 and I see the Change Background as an overlay (circle button in the bottom right of my video feed)

I'm using 10.13.6 on macos and 3.4.2066.106 of vivaldi.

What does vivaldi://gpu say for you?
Google's documentation for Meet says
Chrome Hardware acceleration must be enabled (this cause it is the Vivaldi Hardware acceleration)
Browser must support WebGL 2.0.
Have you installed the most recent macOS 10.13.6 security update (Security Update 2020-006 High Sierra)? Also what model and year is the machine you have?
