Can't log-in on Gmail due to an unsafe or unsupported browser ??
-
Since a week or so I can't log in to my Gamail accounts.
A message states; This browser or app is possibly unsafe. Use another browser. If you use a supported browser, you can refresh your window and try again to log in.
Does anybody have this same issue and/or knows a way to correct it ?
I'm on a Windows7 64 bit system browsing with Vivaldi 3.5.2088.7 in the 64 bit version.
Thnx in advance, Yatta

@NoAidee , try a private window or a guest profile in Vivaldi, to rule out that the cause is an extension.

Vivaldi 3.5.2088.7
I wonder if Gmail is checking for the recent security updates which have been ported to Vivaldi Stable, but are not on Snapshot (yet)!?

Hello @Catweazle ... I'm always browsing in private windows. Also I've tried loggin in with all extensions disabled.... unfortunately with the same result....

@Gwen-Dragon maybe you're right. I went to a website to check my user agent and this is what I got as reply;
Your User Agent is:
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/85.0.4183.121 Safari/537.36 RuxitSynthetic/1.0 v7296456939 t38550 ath9b965f92 altpub cvcv=2Specially the last bit [ RuxitSynthetic/1.0 v7296456939 t38550 ath9b965f92 altpub cvcv=2 ] I don't think is originally for Vivaldi.
..... Am I right ? and if so where can I manually change the User Agent into the 'normal' string for Vivaldi ?

@Gwen-Dragon said ; You have a extension or a security/privacy software causing this change of user-agent.
With all extensions disabled > same result
With the user-agent spoofed to; Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/86.0.4230.1 Safari/537.36 > same resultFresh profile > I don't wanna do that afraid of loosing stuff thats in the old profile
Grtz, Yatta
