Simplified filter list to block youtube ads!
-
Add it to your filters list!
And have a wonderful day!
-
@TheQuantumAlpha Thanks.
Presumably, the text file needs to be stored safely where Vivaldi can find it and load it from disk, or does importing the list save a copy somewhere in the profile? Can one safely delete the text file after importing it, is what I am asking.
-
@Pesala Yes, you can import the list from the URL directly, and remove it afterwhile!
-
Hi,
Justed this one on a Clean Profile and seen Pre-Video Ads on 3 occasions:
Some of the Videos:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1eDN4nOhCY0
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7jUA-Gqp4M
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1C2NCxGfLxcAnd common AdSense
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTRQwlpEG2k
Also,
On Home Screen and some videos, as on the ScreenShot, on the Top Right corner.Using it as the only list:
-
@Zalex108 Oh, please import the ad filter list directly from the URL!
May also want to pair it with https://gitlab.com/The_Quantum_Alpha/the-quantum-ad-list/-/blob/master/Individual lists/The_Quantum_Simply-ads-list.txt or such...
-
Ok,

Just this from URL Import, still:
-
@Zalex108 Hm, interesting...
I may test it once again in a private window...
-
@Zalex108 I wonder if Google saw my list...
There are indeed 45 new ciphers :smiling_face_with_open_mouth_cold_sweat:
Which is indeed unusual... -

I prefer a Clean Profile, Private Window would have some holes being not accurate.

Just tested again and still seen them.
Just tested on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTRQwlpEG2k since V started to freeze and consuming lots of CPU.
I've added the whole bunch of 6 entries lists, so I don't know.Since I use uBlock I don't know whether Right Corner Sponsors enforces the Ads to be pushed or it's indifferent.
After delete all the added Lists, V recovered the default behaviour.
Here it's:
i5 2410
6 Gb DDR3
nVidia 520M 512Mb linked to Browsers
WiFi ACWhen last day added the Hosts with 96.000 entries, V behaved normally.
So I don't know.
-
I swear those ads weren't there until today...
My AI keeps reporting "New ciphers catched" , grrr
-
-
They have to be kidding me
Now they are seriously exagerating.
-
All that is new?
-
@Zalex108 Yes, all new from today...
over hundredths of new ads ciphers...

Having some problems using your filter list. It deals very poorly with gamepedia sites.

@AltCode
As a quantum computer scientist, I think ads are more complicated to deal with than a fermions reactivity with hadrons simulation... -
@AltCode This topic is about youtube thoughโฆ
Anyway, I havenโt seen an ad on youtube in years, the standard filter lists in most adblockers take care of that quite nicely. No wonder since youtube is one of the most popular sites. The only thing that annoys me over the last couple of weeks are the constant sign in notices. Havenโt found a satisfying solution for that one yet.

@luetage I'm aware, but having the filter list enabled broke other sites that aren't YouTube.
Ideally, the filter list should only block ads while viewing YouTube, not break other sites.
