I tend to use youtube for the classical music.Beethoven and wagner mainly,although vivaldi's "storm" seems appropriate at the moment.

@Pesala And apparently after a certain age our ears can't appreciate the very best speakers anyway.

@g_bartsch I now have a cheap head-set. I am sure that it is a far from being Hi-Fi, but it is much better than the built-in speakers on my monitor. At least I can hear some base notes now, and in stereo.

@Pesala I have Logitech speakers and a subwoofer which make me happy to listen to music but I tried my daughter's headphones and was blown away by the much higher quality sound. The difference was amazing.

I am quite amazed at how good the sound of new mobile phones is when you hold them in front of your face in a writing position.
