Hangouts extension not working

Seems as if Hangouts issues have been reported in the past. Here's another:

Although one Vivaldi window is telling me I've given Hangouts permission to use my microphone, the Hangouts window says otherwise. I cannot use any audio/video on Hangouts extension via Vivaldi, though Google Meet in a normal browser window works fine.

What version of Vivaldi and what macOS version?
