Full Screen in Videos / GUI

When I switch back from full screen in video controls, e.g. youtube, oftentimes the browser window is in full screen which I then switch back with F11. Oftentimes, it is not in full screen view, but the window does not take the whole screen, although the icons in the corner sugget it is. I then need to de-maximise it in order to really maximise it.
