<Speed Dial> New Tab... question
-
I am using the start page as vivaldi://startpage...
The vivaldi://startpage menu includes <Speed Dial, Bookmarks, History, and Notes>
By the way, Clicking on an icon saved in Speed Dial can not open in a new tab. BUT, can open it on a new tab in the Bookmarks.
Is there a way to open the address saved in Speed Dial on a new tab?

Opens up in a new tab just fine, here. What method are you using? Could an extension be interfering?

@Ayespy I right click and then select a new tab. But I am very dissatisfied with that. Can't I open a new tab if I left click?

@esang Not in Vivaldi. Seems like it would be weird if you could. That would cause endless proliferation of tabs, and also tend to defeat the purpose of "speed" dial, which is speed.
I can see how, since speed tab tiles are essentially bookmarks, you might want to open them all in new tabs if you have bookmarks set to always open a new tab (a terrible idea in my book, but it is an option in Vivaldi, and some people want to do it for some reason). So it seems that's what you're talking about - a SETTING to open speed dials, as well as bookmarks, always in a new tab.
You should probably put in a feature request for that, as I don't think anyone has asked for it before.

I stand corrected. It has been requested, so you can upvote the existing request. In the meantime, you can shift+click to open speed dials in new tab, which is a lot faster than the context menu.

@Ayespy It's already been requested!!
I am sorry that I am not good at English... Thank you!!
I'll use the shift+click method you told me!!

@claudio That's right! Someone else already asked for it!
Thank you!! -
