problem with speed dial extensions and address bar
-
When creating a new tab, focus is not at the url bar if a speed dial extension is controlling it. Tried Speed Dial, Fast Dial and Speed Dial FVD from the chrome web store, same behaviour. That's on latest official and latest snapshot of Vivaldi as well. Sometimes, the focus is correctly put at the address bar, but that's a rarity. "Focus page content on new tab" option is disabled, tried to enable and re-disable, no good. Problem started iirc after that snapshot which contained numerous address bar fixes (2038.4). That's on Windows 10 64bit. On OS X, it's fine.
edit:
not really fine on OS X after all, it's just that more times than not, the focus is correct, but the problem is there as well. -
Can confirm this. I'm using FVD speed dial and I'm having the same issue since the update. It does focus for a split of second but as soon as the speed dial is fully loaded I have to manual press the address bar or use the F8 shortcut to focus, which works for now but it's kind of annoying if I have to do this every time.

I am using Tab for a Cause for my new tab page and also experiencing this issue.
