Alternative to MS Edge Collections for Vivaldi.
-
I'm using Vivaldi as my daily driver and I've been testing Microsoft Edge for work.
I really love the collections feature for Edge and am wondering if there is an Add-On from the Chrome Web Store?
I'm currently testing Toby for Chrome but it requires a web page to be open for it to work. Would like a pop-up window or something that would pop up on the right-hand side of the browser.
I'm been searching on AlternativeTo but haven't found anything. Even created a post on the AlternativeTo forum and it was deleted(Not sure what rule it could have violated).
Any suggestions would be appreciated and thank you for your time!

@mdoverl Wouldn’t a web panel work?

Kind of sounds like they have been taking a look at Notes...

@jon Well, Edge Collections has some better features.
Personally I prefer plaintext for most things, but I could see the appeal of MS Edge-style.
I think Vivaldi could add a way to sort notes, bookmarks, and Emails into collections, as well as multiple sections within a collection (kanban). -
I think it is quite clear that MS have learned from us, but clearly they have their own twist. We will continue to evolve the Notes functionality. Building another concept that competes with Notes makes less sense.

@code3 I've used Edge Collections (I drive Edge Dev channel at work, but am working on migrating some workload to Vivaldi to see how that goes).
They're more featureful than notes, but they feel slower and a bit clunky. They seem like glorified bookmarks that sync with a OneNote tab. I think MS needs to do more work on making them feel better to use.

No, not compete with notes, organize notes/bookmarks/tasks.
I certainly prefer V Notes to Edge Collections but there are some things that you could learn from Edge.
