Q1 Deliveries
The Q1 results for vehicles delivered this quarter are double those for the same period last year, at 184,800.
This stimulated a rapid rise in the stock price at the beginning of the week to over $700.
Just one day later, it is really taking off and was $762.32 at market close on April 13th. Was Elon talking about Doge coin, Starship, or the Tesla stock price?

Tesla Crash Fake News
No one was driving in Tesla crash that killed two men in Texas.
The MSBC report spreads the rumour that self-driving technology is not safe enough to be tested on public roads.
- Auto-pilot as available in the 2019 Model S is not full self-driving technology. It is driver assistance with safety features.
- Full Self Driving (FSD) software is currently Beta software, and requires that the driver should have hands on the wheel and be ready to take over control.
- Autopilot was not engaged in the crashed vehicle.
- There was no one in the driver's seat. One man was in the passenger's seat, and another was in the back seat. Both were of a mature age. Could this have been a car-jacking attempt that went wrong, and the driver ran off after the crash?
- Autopilot is about ten times safer than a human driver if it is engaged. Since it was not engaged, it clearly has nothing to do with the crash.
Tesla stock price fell below $700 at the start of trading, but recovered to $729.40 by market close on Friday 23rd.

Since it was sent into space in February 2018, Tesla has made its first approach to Mars within 7.5 million kilometers. In August 2019 it made the first complete revolution around the Sun and headed for Mars. You can track the position of the space car in real-time on a special website whereisroadster.com, which daily publishes up-to-date data on the location of the electric car.

@cannongray I gave the link to whereisroadster in my first post.
@stilgarwolf Just more FUD. The data from the actual crash proves that Autopilot was not engaged, and if it could be tricked into being engaged on a road without lines, it would not exceed the speed limit on that road, which it did apparently do before it crashed. Ipso facto it was not engaged, it is not unsafe, and the incident is still unexplained.
I dismiss the chance of it being a stunt as too improbable due to the mature age of the deceased occupants. A car-jacking seems more likely, but we should wait and see before jumping to any conclusions. Reality is often stranger than fiction.
The mainstream media does not care about the truth β their job is just to make money by keeping their viewer figures high. It is just click-bait and sensationalism, not journalism.
-
@stilgarwolf If you want to know why Consumer Reports did this test, Tom Nash did some digging and discovered that the two top executives of Consumer Reports used to work for the Ford Foundation. Ford and GM use inferior Cruise Control autonomous driving with a camera looking to see if the driver is paying attention.
By market close on 28th April the Tesla stock price had fallen to $694.40 due, in part, no doubt to this latest FUD. The crash had nothing to do with Autopilot; it was not engaged and could not have been engaged as the road has no lane lines.

Australien Government
They need to improve their policies on Electric Vehicles.

Look Mum! No hands!
After crashing: Look mum! No teeth!
Another fatal crash most likely involving the misuse of autopilot. The media continues the narrative that Auto-pilot is at fault, and not the driver, even though the instructions clearly state that the driver must remain attentive and ready to take over at any time.
Full Self-driving cannot come soon enough.
World Record
Tesla Model S Plaid sets a new world record of 9.23 seconds for a Quarter Mile for a production car.

Pikeβs Peak 2021
Model S Plaid Qualifies 1st ahead of the race day on Sunday 27th. The siren has to be on to warn that the car is coming because there is no engine noise.
The Unplugged Performance customised Model S Plaid in action on this annual mountain race. Last year their team crashed, so the race was won by a production Tesla Model 3 Performance sponsored by Tesla fans without corporate finance.

@pesala Are you going to be buying dogecoin now?
-
This post is deleted! -
@pesala Well, isnβt investing in Tesla a speculation that other people will invest in Tesla, and thus raise the value of the stock? Sure, Tesla has done well long-term so far (but then again, so have multiple cryptocurrencies).
Also, hasnβt Bitcoin multiplied many times since it first started, even more than Tesla?
Plus, USDC solves all the problems you mentioned with cryptocurrency: it is good for the earth b/c itβs based on ethereum, you can earn some interest by staking, it is stable and not speculative.

@pesala Okay. I was trying to make a joke about Elon Musk, not get you to invest in something.

Yahoo Finance Fake News
Yet another misleading article by Yahoo Finance on Tesla Autopilot. The article does not even mention the incident from 2019 that resulted in the teenager's death. It talks about the Tesla Model S Plaid fire from a few days ago, which is yet to be investigated.
The actual death crash incident was reported by the New York Times published on July 5th, in another shameless attempt to discredit the safety of Autopilot.
It is all good for me. The FUD reduced the Tesla stock price by $30 so that I could afford to invest in one more share at a bargain price of $647, without having to sell it again soon to pay my bills. I missed the dip a few weeks ago, so I was waiting for another buying opportunity. There might be an even better one today, but nobody knows what will happen today or tomorrow. However, next year is very likely to be higher (not investment advice, do your own research, etc.)

Up nearly $10 to $656.95 in two days at market close on Friday 9th.
Full Self Driving Beta 9 was released late on Friday after being delayed by a few months for further tweaking.
First Impressions: Dirty Tesla
If all goes well, wider release is expected in about a month.
Tesla stock rose significantly to $685.51 on July 12th with the recent good news.
