Add another way to toggle tab's split view
-
Currently user can show tabs next to each other using this button in status bar:
But I usually prefer to hide statusbar at all, in order to maximize screen's vertical space.
Which makes it impossible for me to easily turn on the split view - there must be another simple way in browser's UI for toggling that option.(mod: moved as this is already implemented)

@emvaized There already is. Hold down the shift key and drag the icon to the Address Bar. You can also use shortcuts for tiling tabs. See Settings, Keyboard, Tabs.
If you set logical shortcuts, they are easier to remember than the defaults. I use these:
- T = Tile Horizontally
- T+Shift = Tile Vertically
- T+Ctrl+Shift = Tile to Grid
- T+Ctrl = Untile Tabs

@Pesala
Shortcuts are nice.
Could you please also explain the first one more detailed? Which icon do I need to drag?
I would like to use only mouse for that. -
- Enable the Status Bar
- Hold down Shift and drag the Tiling Icon, dropping it on the Address Bar, next to the Home page icon, or wherever you want to put it. (Do the same with the Status Bar clock if you sometimes like to use that).
- Now you can disable the Status Bar again.

I just wish there was a way to change where the tiles go. For example, say I have 3 tabs stacked: a chat interface, my work's incoming call list, and my work's active agents queue.
Right now if I have them in this order and go for the 2x2 grid the chat is top left, the calls are bottom left, and the active agents are taking the whole right side. IDEALLY chat should take the entire left side, calls should be top right, and agents should be bottom right.
Currently I do not see this is possible.

@Crayder The order of the tabs determined the order of the tiles. So if the chat is your rightmost/last tab, it should appear in the right tile.
(Though it would be nice to reorder the tiles without reordering the tabs.)
