Can't print an eBay purchase and some other web pages
-
Noticed lately that when attempting to print a page from some sites the 'Preview' page pops up but just endlessly stays in a "Loading Preview" mode so I can never print the page. Very important for saving information on an eBay purchase and now I can't do that anymore.
This happens on numerous sites. Some print fine and others get stuck. I can actually print the eBay home page but not any page where I have made a purchase! I can readily print the purchase page using Firefox or Chrome but not Vivaldi. Something is amiss in Vivaldi. I've been a computer tech for decades - so I don't think I'm missing something obvious. -
@DarkZero556 I don't buy from eBay so can't test/check this, sorry.
However, could you provide system details, vivaldi version etc?
Are you printing to an actual printer or to Pdf?Also, have a look at this thread (and links)

@TbGbe I've tried both PDF and HP printer. I can never get past 'Loading Preview'. Like I said though it works with Firefox and Google Chrome but I much prefer using Vivaldi. Thanks for the reply.

@Gwen-Dragon
Extensions all disabled, 3rd party cookies allowed. It still has the problem. Bug report sent. Thanks for your help.I can open any item (or at least the ones I've tried) on eBay without being logged in there and I cannot print the page for an item with Vivaldi but it prints with Firefox or Chrome. However if I just go to the eBay home page I can print that okay with Vivaldi.

@TbGbe , As I just mentioned try going to eBay - no login needed and search for any item. Open the item page to view it. Then try to print it. It won't print with Vivaldi but prints with Firefox or Chrome. At least that is my experience with trying a bunch of items.
Here's just one example: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Waterproof-Bluetooth-Smart-Watch-SIM-Phone-Mate-For-iphone-IOS-Android-Black/203073697863
BTW - I am NOT that seller. Just an example for a quick test.

@DarkZero556 OK. I tried that and got the "endless preview" as you reported (using Print to PDF)!
However, by selecting "custom pages" and entering 1 (to print only 1 page), it then worked!!
I suggest you check that too; then create a bug as @Gwen-Dragon posted!
You should then put bug number you receive (VB-XXXXX) here for future reference. -
