Extension not working: Diigo Web Collector - Capture and Annotate
-
Hi, Just discovered Vivaldi, and as a fan missing Opera 12 features, I'm currently trying it as my default browser... Impressive, good, work so far! However, I use to use Diigo to annotate Web pages, and it turns out that text highlighting is not working: - while floating toolbars are properly displayed, - text is not highlighted as requested. Any clue? Thanks in advance PS: extension installed from here

FYI, just figured out that I was using Diigo 2.2.10 with Opera 34, the Opera-specific version, and it worked.
However, if I'm trying to use current version form Chrome Store (3.3.19) it doesn't work even in Opera 34 (provided "Download Chrome Extension" is installed of course).
So, just in case this can help you finding out the issue.
Thanks! -
As a new Vivaldi user, I'm wondering if I should file a bug for this instead of a forum post… what do you think? TIA

If it's not working in both Opera 34 and Vivaldi Beta, you might be better served by reporting it to the extension developer. In any case, right now the Vivaldi developers are focused on getting the browser itself to run in a stable way while incorporating new built-in features. It's unlikely they can commit precious resources yet to explore the quirks of interfacing with a particular extension unless either that extension is universally popular or has a problem in-common with many other extensions. Just sayin'…

Thanks for the reply.
OK, I agree with your "vision". -
