Amazon HD not available
-
Hi,
I saw that there were similar posts in 2019, just one 2020 but no answer at all. I keep getting this message when I want to plan a Prime video in HD:
Does anybody know how to fix this? It cannot be a Regional/Locale content restriction, as both Firefox and Brave are having no issues at all. Is this DRM related?
Thanks!

@Gwen-Dragon : thank you for the Info! Anything planed for future releases maybe? A road map of sorts?
-
@Gwen-Dragon How can you "fix" a missing license that comes with fees as you said?

Amazon is EVIL.
You shouldn't use it. AT ALL! -
@MelaninLover thanks for being active on this forum. We understand your feeling. Now this comment is not helping the user's issue in this case. So we're grateful if you bring more constructive input and eventually share some alternatives that you find works better with Vivaldi and has the offering that the user needs for example.

@Gwen-Dragon I am running:
Vivaldi 3.5.2115.4 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Revision b91f73d39a99813def663084b0e219811d8a0240
OS Windows 10 OS Version 2009 (Build 19042.630)Connecting to Amazon Prime Video from Spain with this snapshot is not giving an increase in definition. The only measure I have is that Prime Video indicates that 'Best' video quality with V runs at 1.17 GB per hour (same as earlier snapshots). As a comparison, in Firefox 83 'Best' is 6.84 GB per hour. V is running at slightly less than FF's 'Better' grade of 1.4 GB per hour.
Is there something in this current snapshot that must be switched on to get the better performance you mention? -

A user agent spoof perhaps?

@Gwen-Dragon Bingo! Yes! Thank you. I'm afraid I hadn't seen those instructions.
-
@Gwen-Dragon I'm very grateful.
