Recover User Profile 1-- Lost ability to change/switch to ANY other "User Profile" than DEFAULT.

NEED HELP to CHOOSE or RECOVER my User "Profile 1", which is now no longer showing up. And it also is not automatically opening as the last used profile, as it should be doing.

Granted I likely had way too many tabs and windows open, which corrupted something when choosing or exposing all the existing "user profiles".

--> Latest released stable version of V, Window 10... etc.
--> THREE profiles, ONE synced, and the other two profiles are not synced.

I'm using PROFILE 1 most all the time, which is SYNCED.
Tonight I closed all open tabs [100's] and windows [10?] using the eXit command, seemingly without problems.
I've not used the DEFAULT profile [which is not synced] for about a year, and only seldom do I use profile 2, which is not synced.
OPENING V, only opens the DEFAULT profile, instead of the LAST USED profile, which in my case, was profile 1. ALL the stuff that was in the default profile, is still where I left it last year.
There is NO visible choice to open any other EXISTING user profile, but it only shows the MAIN / [Default\ profile, and shows that I likely could create a new user profile to be created.
I checked all the folders at: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Vivaldi\User Data\ and the size of the folders and files, and the dates matched what I would expect. So, this looks like the user profiles are complete and not corrupted.

So, HOW can I RE-LINK the "Choose User Profile button" up, to at least PROFILE 1.

I would strongly prefer to NOT copy all the profile data files and folders to/from default/profile1.
Likewise, I don't want to use the SYNC servers to recreate that profile, since it would no be complete, and my user's profile folders look fine.
I'd also prefer to not just change those folder names either. I suspect that there are reference dependencies that will be missing if I try renaming.

I'd really like to understand better, what I can safely do, or shouldn't, when backing up, switching, or managing these profiles. I'd also like granular control over the open tabs for each open window. i.e., I'd like to SAVE, or preferably AUTO-SAVE that session and that page. NAMING the page would also be VERY helpful. I can't ID an open window, when changing the tabs always changes the Windows name for that page.

@DaaBoss So when you open Manage Profiles, only one profile (Default) shows named "You"?

Have you checked also Settings > Address Bar > Manage Profiles button?

There are a couple of things you could try, but first make a backup of your preferred profile so to not lose anything, just copy the "Profile 1" folder somewhere safe.

Then try (different options, not sequential):

Launch Vivaldi with command line argument: Vivaldi.exe --profile-directory="Profile 1"
Delete/Move the Default profile out of User Data and relaunch Vivaldi, it might show you an option to choose another profile on launch. Or it will just reset Default, not sure.
Open the User Data\Local State file in a real text editor (not Notepad!) and find the following:
"last_active_profiles":["Default"],"last_used":"Default"
Try changing "Default" to "Profile 1" and save the file.

Obviously do these things while Vivaldi is closed
