(solved)a Vivaldi shortcut icon on the task bar AND another Vivaldi icon on the task bar when active
-
I have my Vivaldi shortcut icon on the task bar for quick access. When I click the short cut, it activate the Viva and duplicate an icon for the active Vivaldi, resulting there are 2 icons, 1 is for the short cut and the other is for the active Viva. Task bar space is really really important to me, like super market shelves for various products, so taking 2 spaces for 1 active Vivaldi is a bid issue. For other browsers, this kind of duplication has not happened to me. Is there any solution to this? Thank you.

This bug / non-feature is back in operation. Why would Vivaldi be generating a second icon for the active tabs in the task bar? No other Windows program does this. You should be able to hover on the one Vivaldi icon to see all active instantiations to select the desired one. Please fix Vivaldi to behave like all other windows programs - one icon on the task bar please. Also, per the last post on this, if it was fixed at one time back in 2015 -- how was it fixed?

@mmc12598 This is an old thread - I used to have problems with this years ago, but not anymore. Try unpinning and pinning Vivaldi to the taskbar again when it's running.
