Solved Installing extension crashes vivaldi
-
I am on Arch Linux and I don't know why this suddenly started happening, but all of a sudden any attempt to install any extension crashes the browser.
What can I do about this?
Running with the flag
--enable-logging --v=1
, I get the following output when it crashes:[949695:949708:0707/215005.315466:ERROR:broker_posix.cc(40)] Recvmsg error: Connection reset by peer (104) [949695:949708:0707/215005.315612:FATAL:data_pipe.cc(12)] Failed to create data pipe due to MOJO_RESULT_RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED. [1] 949660 segmentation fault (core dumped) vivaldi-stable --enable-logging --v=1
Also when I restart, I get this message in the terminal:
[947442:947442:0707/214710.327328:ERROR:CONSOLE(0)] "Unchecked runtime.lastError: The message port closed before a response was received.", source: chrome-extension://mpognobbkildjkofajifpdfhcoklimli/browser.html (0)

So I just figured out what the problem was.
I had enabled a chrome flag:
vivaldi://flags/#extensions-toolbar-menu
. After disabling this flag, I am now able to install extensions again... -
