Firefox emulation
-
I noticed that Vivaldi can add Chrome extensions was wondering if you can dd Firefox extensions. If not is it possible to implement this feature?
-
@JohnConnorBear
1.chromium is open source and google adds their bits and pieces to it not the other way round.2.not controversial at all..It is making the work of extension developers easier by just developing for one standard,it has nothing to do with adapting chrome extensions for firefox,
3.Incorrect.

@JohnConnorBear ok, thx, I was just wondering if it was possible to merge the 2 web browsers.
-
@unknown81311 Yeah, no. That would be completely impossible.

It is mostly easy to patch Firefox extensions to work with Vivaldi/Chromium than to add a interface to emulate Mozilla's features. That may exclude some extensions which use Firefox-only features.
If you want to get Firefox addons running on Chromium (and Vivaldi) you need to report that feature wish to Chromium developers.
Please keep in mind the small Vivaldi team can not do this at this time.

@Gwen-Dragon I found out that both browsers use the same coding language once I learn more about the language I might try to do something but that is in a few years most likely.
