Why I stay logged in some sites and not in others?
-
Something is really annoying me lately, I noticed that some site I stay logged in and some I don't, even if I check "Stay Logged" "Remember Me" or anything similar, for instance:
Facebook and Outlook I stay connected indefinitely.
Any Google page (Gmail, YouTube, etc.), Twitter and Discord I have to relog after a few arbitrarie amount of time (after a day, two days, a week, etc.)
As it doesn't happen in every site as I mentioned it doesn't seem to be any setting that I messed up.
Also I don't have this same issue with Chromium based Edge and I use pretty much the same Add-ons.
I must add that I don't erase navigation data (Cache, Cookie, History...)
So what it could be?

The first suspect in these situations is that you are blocking/deleting "Third Party Cookies".
In Vivaldi check "Tools/Settings/Privacy" - Cookies.
Note: you could also have extensions or even security/blocking/cleaning software which removes these cookies. So you should check those if the Vivaldi setting does not solve it for you.

@TbGbe I checked if the "Block Third-party Cookies" options is activated, but it isn't.
I use Ad Guard, but I'm not sure if is it the one causing problem because I also use it on Edge and some time ago I migrated from Opera to Vivaldi and all the add-ons I use in Vivaldi now I used on Opera before and I never had this issue. Also it doesn't not make sense that Google would have its cookies deleted and Facebook would not.I think, maybe, some Add-ons doesn't work as intended in Vivaldi? So this could be a bug.
Also I don't use any software to delete Cookies (like CCleaner or anything remotely close)

@romagnollo Some extensions may not be supported but I don't think are related to this issue.
By the way, which are?Check this page and see if it is empty

I've always believed the 'stay logged in' was set by each website and nothing to do with the web browser (other than cookies store your choice for the website to observe or disregard. For example, I use fanfiction.net regularly every day yet was regularly dumped out maybe once a month. Then they upped the Captcha security because of spambots. This log in was now so difficult that many complained so they kept the new security but kept people logged in indefinitely. I've been logged in maybe 18 months now. Meanwhile, Asda (a British supermarket) kick me out every few minutes! (If I'm ordering groceries and nip in the kitchen to check if I need cornflakes then when I come back a few minutes later I may well find I have to log in again. And Asda confirm that they do it for security reasons. ) So I doubt it's a Vivaldi problem (assuming the cookies are working.)
