Vivaldi's "Content Blocker" Twinned with "Bypass Anti-Block Detection" - A Chrome Extension
-
Hi Everyone:
I am really pleased with Vivaldi's Content Blocker. I use it to block trackers and ads. It works like a charm!
Kudo's to Vivaldi's crack team of browser guru's . . .
A lot of sites, though, don't allow you to browse their site unless you disable your content blocker. I was using Vivaldi's white-list function - which works fine - but I happened upon a free Chrome extension called "Bypass Anti-Block Detection".
I added this "Bypass" extension to my Vivaldi browser - and it does EXACTLY what its name suggests!! It works seamlessly with Vivaldi's "Content Blocker" and allows me to enjoy all the sites without trackers and ads. I couldn't be more pleased!
I just wanted to pass this tip on to the Vivaldi community - with my compliments.
Love you guys at Vivaldi. Keep up the great work!! You are the best!
Regards
Robert

@RobertCohen27 , there are 2 extensions of this type in the Store, neither of them specifies a web page of the author. Therefore, although they may do their job, there are no guarantees that they are trusted extensions and they are not used for those who use a contentblocker, that is, to log your activities.
The alternative would be to use Tamper- or Violentmonkey with the corresponding anti-adblock difuser script. -
@Catweazle Thanks for this. I am not that computer savvy, but I understand what you are saying. I would, therefore, caution use of this "bypass" extension.
Sure works great though!!

@RobertCohen27 , it does not have to be a bad extension, but the Chrome Store has already shown in the past, not to be very careful in admitting extensions and that it had to be removed later by reports of the users.
For this reason it is ALWAYS recommended to preferably use OpenSource extensions and that specify a web address in the description in the Store, in case problems appear.
By the way in Google Play the same thing happens and it is preferable to use instead of this, F-Droid as a repository. Neither is Google Play Protect a valid protection and it is preferable to use a separate AV.
Bitdefender is a good choice for Android.
