Popup Log-in to websites not working
-
Hello everyone,
I am sorry if this was asked or answered somewhere else, but I was not able to find it.
My problem is when I try to login to websites that have Google popup login, none of them ever work. When I click log in with Google, a popup window appears and gives me the option to choose which Google account I want to use. I select the account and the popup window disappears but nothing happens on the website I tried to log in. Like the website didn't even recognize that anything happened. I tried setting popups to open in a new tab but get the same result. The tab opens, I choose Google account, tab closes and website sits there like absolutely nothing happened.
I there any solution for this?
Thank you.

Hello Gwen-Dragon,
Thank you for an extremely fast reply.
I tried to log in to this link right now https://affiliate.bluestacks.com/referral/ but in general, whenever I have the same popup login to websites they don't work. I always have to open another browser to log in.
I attached a screenshot of my extensions.

Oh, sorry if I did something wrong with sending a screenshot.
But I did search in options for this Third-party Cookies option that you suggested and tried to log in with that turned off. It worked, I was able to log in.
So is this solution, to have this option turned off? Is it good to have it turned off? I am sorry for being a complete noob.

Ok, I did everything you told me to do.
Huge thanks for your time and help Gwen-Dragon!
Wish you all the best for the best team and the best browser!

Hi,
If above steps did not fix your problem, try on a Clean Profile to discard OS Settings.Try on a New Vivaldi's Profile
:
- "Right side" |
Rename it as Tests or something related, and use it as a Clean Profile, to test without custom configurations that can alter the original operation.
Since the result, check:
- Active Experiments
- Extensions
- Clean Cache
- Site Data
Or fill in a Bug Report and please, add the ID to the topic for follow up.

"Off Topic Tip"
Follow the Signature's Backup | Reset link.
Take the opportunity to start a Backup plan and even create a Template Profile.
Windows 7 (x64)
Vivaldi Back up | Reset - "Right side" |

@johnnada Sorry for the necro, but for some reason I cannot see the instructions you were given by Gwen-Dragon. Was that done in a PM?
If so, can you post exactly what worked for you so that others can take advantage of the solution?
Finding this stuff is too difficult and that needs to be fixed.
vivaldi://settings/cookies will NOT take you where you want to go.
chrome://settings/cookies turns into vivaldi://settings/cookies,
but viola! there is the page you need to scroll down to add sites to allow third party cookies while denying all others.
Suggest users bookmark
chrome://settings/cookies
by clicking toolbar and New Bookmark. then you can leave it there for easy access or place it where you want.
