Keyboard shortcut to pop-out video
-
Hello,
I love the new vivaldi feature, allowing pop-out video. However, if a site has an embedded youtube video, I can't hit the pop-out button on the video, because on moving the mouse the title of the video appears on top of it.
As a result, instead of playing the video in picture-in-picture, I'm opening it in youtube... A keyboard shortcut might solve this problem.
Plus, I love keyboard shortcuts, so I would appreciate it.
Thanks -
@lc35 It might be difficult if a page has several embedded videos. Which one would it play?
If you cannot click the icon, you should be able to right-click (twice) to select picture-in-picture from the context menu.
I suggest reporting a bug, as this is not really a feature request. The icon should always be accessible. The same problem occurs with fullscreen YouTube videos because the video title overlays the icon and prevents it being clicked.
Please see How to Report a Bug
This link is now on the Help menu, Report a Bug.

@Pesala said in Keyboard shortcut to pop-out video:
which one would it play?
Maybe the currently playing video (or ask, if there is none or more than one playing)?

@Pesala Ok, thank you, I understand the difficulty with several embedded videos...
I'll report the bug and thank you meanwhile for the double right click tip, which I didn't know about. -
@Komposten Yes, indeed, the current playing video should be the most logical and practical...
