      Hi,

A newbie here trying to get used to Vivaldi, coming from Chrome (90%) and Firefox (9%) and Safari (1%).
Of course I keep running into having to develop new ways to do things I am used to doing...

      The underlying issue

I have developed a workaround for pages that do not allow force opening in a new tab (cmd/ctrl + click).
I click as usual, and then I cmd/ctrl click on the back button - essentially going back in history in a new tab!
      I use this quite often.

      The Vivaldi issue

It works in Chrome, Firefox, and other browsers.

It does not work for me in Vivaldi.

      ???
Any ideas? Can I force Vivaldi into this behavior? Is there another way to solve my problem? (Either forcing a website to open in a new tab more forcefully than other browsers OR another way to open history in a new tab with no more than 1 click).

      Thanks!

      C

        @carvedblock
Edit: I have discovered, that holding the button and then cmd clicking on an item from the list works... but it takes a while because of the holding vs clicking delay. So that's one workaround. Not ideal, but not the worst. Let's see if someone has something better?!

Middle click or ctrl-right click on the back arrow on the address bar, that will open the previous page in a new tab

@carvedblock Click and drag down should open the back history menu more quickly than click+hold (aka long-click).

Right-click on tab, Clone Tab can also be useful.

@iAN-CooG Thanks for the suggestion. I'm on a Mac - and this does not work.

@Pesala Thanks for the suggestion. Click and drag down does not seem to work for me (Mac), but I'm sure someone else will find it useful.
