Clear junk data Vivadi browser on mac
-
I am using Vivadi browser heavily on my Macbook Pro and quite satisfied with it. The only question is how to clear junk and tmp data as the storage is not enough (128G SSD). It seems no much difference after removing cookies and cache data. Need more specific advice on this.

@boguataus When you did the clear cache did you delete data for All Time (cookies are KB in size (very small)) cache can get big over time?
-
Files can and do accumulate in /tmp over time, not just from using Vivaldi. The best/quickest/easiest way to clean these up is to reboot your Mac.
-
@boguataus , you can use Click&Clean in Vivaldi. This not only cleans cookies, history and cache, but also other junk files on disk

Hi,
You could go with Finder to your Profile folder (about), an delete the content of mostly all Cache folders.
Keep Storage Cache for preferred sites.
Extensions like Mega uses many Mb.
Multiplycated by many Profiles, it increases a lot.You can use an App or script to Automatize the process.

No, coz there are passwords to be kept.

No much difference......How did you remove cookies and cache data?Maybe you didn't delete them permanently.

You can go to Tools menu > History, click the little brush symbol at the upper right, and choose what to clear. I use "All Time" and clear everything except cookies and passwords. (I do not clear cookies because I default to blocking them and make exceptions only for those that I need.)

If the cache data and Cookies were completely deleted, you wouldn't encounter this problem, sharing this here.

On other hands, whatever data you want to delete to free up space on Mac,you have to delete them permanently, about how to delete junk data from Mac here.

Temporary files in /tmp are best cleared out with a reboot. You should be able to clear any other temporary files in the Profile through "Delete Browsing Data" or through "Site settings"
You shouldn't have to delete any Vivaldi files under ~/Library manually.
