Outlook/Office URLs give side-by-side configuration error
-
Whenever I try to open a hyperlink in Outlook or Excel I get an error that says
Something unexpected went wrong with this URL: "https://www.google.com/". The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail."
I did run an sxstrace to record the error, and I've attached that below. The log seems to indicate that Vivaldi is causing the error. I am running Windows 10, using Microsoft Office 365 desktop programs.

I have tried to change the default browser to Microsoft Edge. When I do this, I do not get the error. I can also open links from my PDF reader just fine.
Any thoughts on what I might try?
Thank you.

@DoctorOdds
Hi, this error happen if to applications use the same .dll (dynamically linked library) but need different versions of the .dll.
Did you install another software after Vivaldi?
Reinstall Vivaldi should solve the issue, if all work well.Cheers, mib
