Touchpad scrolling speed

Re: Scroll control (with touchpad)
I just bought a laptop (lenovo ideapad). Scrolling with the touchpad moves way too fast. I updated my drivers. (This is running Windows 10). I also adjusted the mouse wheel settings. It makes no difference in Vivaldi. In Chrome, the scrolling works as expected (as it does in every other app I've tried), but not Vivaldi.I search for the forums and found no solution, although most of those threads were quite old. I'm running the latest version of Vivaldi. This scrolling issue makes it hard to use.

I would like to second this issue. I also have a Lenovo laptop and the speed of the scrolling up and down is driving me insane. I really liked Vivaldi on my old HP laptop (where the scrolling was as smooth as Chrome or Firefox) but in my new laptop. nothing seems to work to fix this.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the browser several times, disabled hardware acceletarion and smooth scrolling, both from the settings and the flags, removed and then installed my drivers and touchpad again... No success at all.
And this only happens with Vivaldi, because I keep switching between Firefox and Opera and everything works fine.
If there is any way for me to provide a dump log or anything, I would gladly help because I really liked using Vivaldi on my old laptop. -
An extension which could - I hope - serve as workaround (it's meant both for wheel and keyboard, wondering if it affects touchpads too).

Hi, sorry to respawn this thread, but I just found it after experiencing the same thing. I also got the lenovo idepad.
I will try the extension suggested above, but it would be nice to have this issue corrected in later versions.

@HonestAbe see @Gwen-Dragon's reply above for how to report bugs. The Vivaldi dev team isn't reading thug every thread on this forum, so if you've got an issue you want to report to them, make sure to follow the directions provided there.

Same thing on a lenovo legion, with elantech touchpad. In google chrome, and in any other program, the scroll works ok.

This is an issue with the Elan Touchpad more than anything, I've been dealing with it for about 2 years now with little success and have only been able to fix it for Chrome and Firefox, any other application still suffered from the hypersensitive scrolling. (I also have a Lenovo ideapad). I finally caved and tried to find more fixes again today and actually found something that fixes the issue not only for Vivaldi, but also for all the applications on my computer.
Basically you have to switch the registry key for the ScrollControl_Mode on the Elantech Smartpad registry from 0 to 1. It's explained more in detail in the article below where I found the fix:
Hope this helps!
