I think this might need a fix?... {problem on Protopage}
-
Hi All!
I'm new to Vivaldi. I am having a problem and I'm sure it's related to this browser but I cannot fix it. I wanted to check if I'm missing something before submitting a report.
I use Protopage as a start page. On Chrome, Firefox etc. it looks exactly as it should. Each widget has a dark header and white text.
In Vivaldi, the header text is bright orange. It is making it extremely difficult for me to read it. I have changed themes, and everything I can in order to fix it but it won't work. Is there something I specifically should be looking at? Or is this a bug...?
Sidenote:
I also have another problem on Protopage, where the really nice background I have selected should be unscrollable. Vivaldi breaks this, the wallpaper on Protopage is now scrollable. So I have my nice wallpaper, then it breaks and changes to black all the way as far as I want to go. The wallpaper should not be able to be scrolled past.Should I report these issues, or is there something I can choose in settings?

@lisating The default background image is fixed. The page looks the same in Firefox and Vivaldi for me. What is your Vivaldi version and Windows version?
Specs: AMD A10-6800K, 8 Gb (WinSPRLevel = 5.9) on Win 10 64-bit 1909 build 18363.592 • Snapshot 2.11.1811.3 (64-bit)

Win 10 Version 10.0.17763 Build 17763
Latest VivaldiI selected an image from their selection AND picked a custom image. It's still scrolling down.
The big issue is that font color on the tabs though. Something in Vivaldi is making it orange.

Latest Vivaldi
The latest Stable, or the latest Snapshot?
This is how the page looks to me on both Snapshot and Stable. I assume that the colour of the text depends on the colour of the tabs and the background image.

Stable
Vivaldi 2.10.1745.27 (Stable channel) (64-bit)
Revision 0cff17186b317ac1935c017269c5e1e8c4620320Also here are some pics so you all can see what I see.
What it should look like! Chrome (but looks the same in all other browsers):
What it looks like in Vivaldi, and you can see where the image ends and background starts down the page:

@lisating It looks like the background image is causing the colour change to the font for better contrast.
I cannot test without an account. Try a different image of the recommended size. If you cannot work it out file a bug report with the URL to ProtoPage in the report form.
Please see How to Report a Bug
This link is now on the Help menu, Report a Bug.
