How to put cursor (i.e. focus) in text entry field on web site with keyboard shortcut
-
Hello everyone
When I'm on a certain web site with text entry fields on the page, and I press Ctrl+F, do a search that finds something in the text entry fields, and then press Escape, the Find dialog goes away and the text that was found is selected, but... the text entry field no longer has the focus.
If I then press Ctrl+C, it doesn't copy the selected text. I can, of course, click in it, but that cancels the selection. Is there a keyboard shortcut or a way to assign a keyboard shortcut that moves the focus back to the text entry field on the web site? Ideally, when I press that shortcut, and I move the right arrow, it should cancel the selection and put the cursor to the right of the text that was selected.
Thanks

@ugcheleuce Many times this depends on the website, and how well it's coded for keyboard navigation. Usually Tab works for moving around elements until you can focus the input.
I think the built-in spatial navigation will also allow you to navigate to the input elements.
I use an old but very nice extension which offers a bit more and it works very well:
