Adjusting Volume on YouTube Video Stops Playback {with Vivaldi Snapshot}
-
This seems to be a new issue.
When I adjust the volume of a YouTube video the click is passed to stop playback as if I had clicked on the video itself, not on the slider control.
Clicking again on the slider does not restart playback.
Can anyone confirm that this is a new bug?
-
I found this report in the Snapshot thread, so it is a known new issue.
-
@Gwen-Dragon Can you confirm that ads also stop video playback?
-
It should be noted that this bug affects every site I've tried so far. Using the mute button in the HTML5 player makes the playback pause. Muting the tab doesn't affect playback state.

I am not sure if this is related or not. Audio on Pandora does not stop when I change volume. However, it does stop after each song, and clicking the play button does not restart the audio, and neither does reloading or force reloading the page. I have to log out, then log back in. It stops again after one song. This also happened a few snapshots back, and was fixed in the subsequent snapshot.

@libcub Changing the station will also get one more song played.

I cannot replicate here.
Was just on YouTube a few hours ago. Volume adjustment had no effect on video playing at the time.Vivaldi: 2.11.1784.3 (Official Build) (64-bit)

@jaxtraw Does it occur while all extensions are disabled?
-
@greybeard Yes.
-
@jaxtraw With "Private Window"?
-
Confirmed! Not in YouTube only. The same issue is on twitter, fb, coub and etc.

Fixed in the latest snapshot; at least for YouTube.
